I always knew that becoming a mother was going to make my heart overflow with love every day, but I didn't know the other things that came with motherhood. I knew of them. Like the postpartum struggles. The hurt you feel in your heart for no reason even though your little family is now complete. I knew I was prone to postpartum depression when Oliver was born because I was diagnosed with slight depression after my two best friends passed away. I battled ppd for months until I started doing things for MYSELF. Like going and getting massages, well I do it mainly because I was in a car accident when I was 12 that messed up my back, but I also do it for my sanity. I also went to a mom + baby group every Friday for about 6 months, until Ollie turned 1. I also workout for ME. 🤸🏻♀️ I've always struggled with my weight and I've tried literally everything. (Weight Watchers, juicing, personal trainer, and more!) Nothing ever worked, until now. The month before I got pregnant I tried out a low resistance program (bc of my back) and got amazing results in just 21 days!! I was immediately hooked! I was determined to lose my baby weight and start working on my weight loss journey. Working out boosts my endorphins and helps stabilize my mood. It also helps with my anxiety and depression.

✨I just want to reach out & help woman. 👭 But to help even ONE woman who is a mother & let them know that you CAN be happy! ✨You don't HAVE to have that dark cloud looming over you. You can get the help you need. Sometimes you do need to go get help and don't be afraid to ask for it!! It really DOES take a village to raise a child! ❤️ Stop beating yourself up and love yourself. #loveyourself

I also talk to women daily about their health and fitness goals. 💪🏻 That helps me mentally SO much!!! It's like having a sisterhood! 😭👭 I always thought that women were just catty and mean, until recently I learned that just the negative ones are so, I started surrounding myself with women who have GOALS! Not goals to put other women down daily. 🙄 But having that support system and knowing that they have my back means the world to me!!!!!!! 🌎👭 📷: K. Merideth Photography
